Scotlanicity II

The title of this blog hit me as I was sitting in Belk Library tonight. I knew I wanted to keep a blog as a primary means of keeping up with family and friends while I'm in Scotland this spring semester, and I wanted to give it a really great and memorable name and tried my hardest to think of a U2 lyric that worked. But it's not quite Ireland. It's Scotland, and a lyric from The Police, while still more British than Scottish, seemed more appropriate. Plus, it just works. And if you don't get this musical reference, "Scotlanicity II" is derived from the song "Synchronicity II", one of my favorite Police songs. Not only did it make for a great title, but there is a line in the song that states "Many miles away / something crawls to the surface / at the bottom of a dark / Scottish lake". So here it is, my official blog to keep you posted on all my adventures in Scotland and beyond from January to May of 2010. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you:

"SCOTLANCITIY II."
