A happy St. Patrick's Day to one and all! In honor and reverence of one of my adopted cultures - that of the Irish, the other being Scotch - I feel compelled to honor this day, associated with St. Patrick who saved us all, the snakes he drove out of Ireland (literally) and the many pints of Guinness that I'm certain will be washed down in pubs across the world. Here it is, the only U2 song that could be mistaken for an Irish folk song sung by the ancestors of olde in pubs across the country, 'Van Diemen's Land'. Rise your pint, and sing along if you know the words, 'Hold me noooooooooooooow .....'
